Many thanks for these recommendations. These are very helpful. As someone still new to the climate and environment sector, this article is a gold mine. Just an observation, I noted that most of the authors are from the Global North or from the Anglophone world specifically. I think there is a world of writers out there from other countries which I think you may have missed. I highly recommend reading books by Ramachandra Guha (do look up his other books too) especially The Unquiet Woods, The Fissured Land, Ecology and Equity, Varieties of Environmentalism (excellent comparison of environmental movements in the Global North and Global South). The other Catalan author I think you could check out is Joan Martinez Alier. His books are available in Spanish and English as well.
Thank you for asking....I'd like to read the BEST book on Carbon. How and why is it seemingly, our best and our worst asset? (Maybe this is a children's book?)
If you don't mind... one point about how we share the value or process of advocacy about how our environment works...
Is there a book, or an organization that capitalizes on the culture and inherent beauty of nature?
Maybe more people would understand environmental urgency, if we engaged them creatively, artistically, culturally?
For example, a band of 100 artists from around the world...celebrating the artful, sustainable, vital and essential technology of nature. They wouldn't have to make it up. We, are a living truth - nature and us.
