I wonder if the following idea would make sense: to have an independent entity like the EPA or TNC give awards each year (or two) for biggest private enterprise climate change impact in their sector or industry, and also by size (annual revenue) of company (small, medium, large)?
Our small business has been standing on a small but important process of using private conservation easements to demonstrate of small business model of operations that address climate resilience in agriculture, forest land use, watershed management and cultural resource spaces for perpetuity. We are looking for impact investments to expand our impact and continue to prove that real estate development does not need to a part of the climate problem but can be a force for good.
