Hi Mark, Excellent post! I don't often reply to these things, but reading the opening story about Colombia reminds me that I was deep in the wilds of Colombia in its highest rainfall month. It rained so hard that the river next to our cabin jumped its bank and the rain actually ripped the gutter off the roof. The cliffside road was washed out by a 30 foot gulley which we had to cross on foot just to get to another vehicle. Sometime, it would be good to explore getting you involved in my current NGO called Global Forest Generation (have a look at our website if interested).
