Dear Readers,
Another year is coming to an end. And as it does, I want to say thank you.
One of the highlights of my year took place just recently. At COP28 in Dubai, and at various holiday gatherings over the last several weeks, I had the opportunity to see old friends and to make some new ones. I was surprised and made happy by how many of them mentioned The Instigator as part of their regular reading. It was one of the best gifts I could ever receive.
I am grateful that you take the time to read my musings every other week or so. This is our 77th (!) issue. We are just over three years old. Our subscribers now measure in the thousands. And individually and collectively, I believe we are making a positive difference.
Looking ahead to 2024, I am as optimistic and determined as ever. My commitment is to keep doing everything I can to promote collaborative environmental problem-solving. Because that’s what I think works best — when people and organizations cross over traditional divides and work together. I’ll keep bringing opportunities along these lines to your attention.
I hope you’ll do the same — not for me of course, but for this community that we and others are building. And for our continued efforts to shape a better world.
Please send your suggestions, questions, and challenges for the newsletter. Feedback really helps. Let’s tackle the toughest challenges in the smartest ways we can.
Again, thank you for being part of The Instigator. I wish you all a very happy new year!
Onward to 2024,
Happy New Year, Mark! Thank you for such an interesting and informative environmental column.
Cheers,
Marc
